It’s mental health awareness week and I wanted to share something with you all! Anxiety. The …”Hey mate, just get over it just do it” is something I’ve been told multiple times. Anxiety is never a joke. It’s something that should be taken seriously. Telling someone with anxiety to just get over it and just do it is like telling a depressed man to “Stop being depressed bro just be happy.” That sort of shizz doesn’t sit too well with me. If you or someone else you know suffers with chronic anxiety or ocd, please, if you can, get some help. It is more common than what you think in our whanau across the motu (country) and affects a lot of people of all ages. Don’t think you’re odd or weird going to talk about this sort of stuff, it’s all good! And quite normal.
