Actor Angelica Ross, of 'Pose' and 'American Horror Story,' announced that she's leaving Hollywood. Ross posted the announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter, on September 21. The news comes just days after the actor called out her 'American Horror Story: 1984' co-star Emma Roberts for misgendering her. During an Instagram Live on September 19, Ross alleged that Roberts intentionally misgendered her on set. Ross, who is trans, said that director John J. Gray told them, 'Ok, ladies, you know, that’s enough. Let’s get back to work,' to which Roberts replied, 'Don’t you mean lady?' On September 20, Ross wrote on X about a separate incident that involved her, Roberts, and co-star Cody Fern. 'We’re all sitting around & I’m copying Cody’s accent,' Ross wrote. 'Didn’t know he had one. Emma then copies my voice & laugh and drops it several octaves. I was SHOOK ... of course I was self conscious about my voice on set after that.' Just hours after she posted about the incident with Fern, Ross said that Roberts called her to apologize and recognize that her behavior 'was not that of an ally.' 'I will leave the line open to follow up on your desire to do better and support social justice causes with your platform,' Ross wrote. Ross also claimed that she pitched an all-Black season of 'American Horror Story' to producer Ryan Murphy. Though he initially expressed interest, Ross said he stopped replying to her and that the back-and-forth caused her to lose out on an opportunity with Marvel. #angelicaross #emmaroberts #news

What's better: artificial turf or grass? It's a debate that's been circling the NFL for years, with many athletes saying turf is tougher on their feet, ankles, and joints, leading to an array of lower-body injuries. But is a grass field any better? #NFL #aaronrodgers #jets #football #sunday #turf #grass #injuries #achilles

(warning: distressing) Actor Angus Cloud, best known for his role as Fezco in 'Euphoria,' died of 'acute intoxication' from a deadly combination of drugs, per the Alameda County Coroner's office. According to an office spokesperson, Cloud's cause of death was ruled an 'accidental overdose.' A mix of drugs, including fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and benzodiazepine, was found in his system. The 25-year-old died on July 31 at his home in Oakland, California. According to his family, Cloud 'intensely struggled' with the passing of his father, who died one week prior. 'Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,' the statement read. Cloud was remembered by co-stars as an original, sweet, and 'beautiful spirit' who 'always smiles.' 'Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor),' Zendaya wrote. 'I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it).' Cloud's rise to prominence was marked by his exceptional portrayal of Fez in the Emmy-winning teen drama 'Euphoria.' He played a pivotal role in the show's first 2 seasons and left a lasting impact on audiences. Besides his work in television, Cloud showcased his talent in films like 'North Hollywood' (2021) and 'The Line' (2023). He had secured a role in an upcoming horror movie produced by Universal Pictures, as well, according to Variety. If you or someone you know is struggling, there is always help. Uber Eats will accept food stamps as a payment method for groceries in 2024. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients will only be able to order groceries from Uber Eats using their benefits, not prepared meals from restaurants. ‘We know that online food delivery can have a meaningful impact in reducing barriers to fresh groceries, especially for the most vulnerable–including people living in food deserts, seniors, and those facing disabilities or transportation barriers,’ Uber said in a statement. In addition, Uber stated that it's working with Managed Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans to support payment methods like flexible spending account cards, flex cards, and relevant waiver payments. 'This is yet another way we are simplifying how people can access healthy foods and connect with their local grocers in new ways,' Uber said, adding that these select payments will also be available in 2024. According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 41 million people received SNAP benefits in June 2023, making it the largest food assistance program in the country. #ubereats #foodstamps #news

Elon Musk indicated that all users of X, formerly known as Twitter, might soon have to fork over a ‘small monthly payment’ to access the platform. He claimed that charging for access is the only way to combat bots. His statement came during a livestreamed conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It’s unclear how much that ‘small monthly payment’ might cost, nor when the company could implement the system. Netanyahu also asked Musk about dealing with bots that amplify hate speech on the platform, to which the billionaire responded, ‘The single most important reason that we’re moving to having a small monthly payment for use of the X system is it’s the only way I can think of to combat vast armies of bots.’ Currently, X has a premium subscription service that provides users with additional features. That service starts at approx $8 per month, though the price can vary based on the user’s country. During the livestream, Musk also claimed that X has 550 million monthly users. In May 2022, prior to Musk purchasing the company, the platform had an ‘average monetizable daily active usage’ of 229 million, according to CNBC. This being said, Musk did not disclose how many of these 550 million ‘users’ might actually be part of the armies of bots he mentioned. #elonmusk #twitter #news
